Hire A Choir
In addition to our regular concert performances, the Queensland University Musical Society (QUMS) is also available for hire to sing at your upcoming function - be it a wedding, conference, Christmas party, or other event. QUMS can provide groups of any size, ranging from a quartet to a choir of 20-30 singers, with a range of both accompanied and a capella repertoire to suit your needs. Should there be a particular song that you desire which is not already in our repertoire, QUMS can arrange the piece to perform at your special event.
Christmas Carolling
Each year, QUMS provides small groups of singers to perform in various of Brisbane's shopping
centre complexes and other venues. In recent years, we have appeared at Westfield Garden City, Queen
St Mall, Hillstone St Lucia, and the Treasury Casino - to name but a few. We are also available to
perform at corporate Christmas parties.
Our carolling repertoire encompasses the traditional European carols, modern works, and the
Australian carol cycle - all of which QUMS performs in 4-part harmony. QUMS can supply carollers in
groups of 4, 8, or more, depending on your requirements, with fees beginning at $150 per hour.
