• Musical Director and Conductor - David Webster

Prior to taking the reins as Musical Director of QUMS at the start of 2006, twenty-three-year-old David Webster had been a back-row bass in QUMS for two years, and society President from 2005.
David has had a long involvement in music. Growing up in a musical family in Oakey, west of Toowoomba, David has sung and played from an early age, appearing as a soloist (both soprano and baritone), pianist and organist.
David�s choral background has stemmed primarily from his involvement with the Toowoomba Choral Society of which he has been a performing member since 1995.
David has had a long passion for musical theatre, performing in many shows in Toowoomba. David has been Director and Musical Director of productions of Stephen Sondheim�s Into the Woods and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum in his home town, and repetiteur and in the orchestra for Les Miserables with the Ignatians Musical Society.
