The Queensland University Musical Society (QUMS) is excited to present our Semester 2, 2026 concert, Main Character Energy, a showcase of music featured in films.
This concert's repertoire features 13 pieces from a diverse range of musical styles, including You Will Be Found from multi-award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, Dies Irae and Lacrimosa from W.A. Mozart's Requiem, and an arrangement of Rainbow Connection from The Muppets by our own tenor section leader James Topping.
Our authentic delivery of intense Mozart moments in combination with melodic gospel and flowing, emotional melodies is bound to keep you on your toes throughout the entire performance (or give you whiplash, as our musical director Guillaume would say).

The concert will be held in the GHD Auditorium, which is inside the Advanced Engineering Building (49) at The University of Queensland, St Lucia.
UQ is very accessible by public transport, bicycle, or car. The best parking is the Grassy Knoll car park (P11) or on Sir William MacGregor Drive near-by. A limited number of accessible car parks are available closer to the building. For more info on accessible parking, see the UQ website.

Tickets also available at the door, although we encourage purchasing beforehand to minimise wait times upon arrival.
