Semester One 2021 - "Lost and Found"

Our first major concert for 2021 was presented at the end of first semester. Lost and Found explored the deeply personal themes of yearning grief, discovery and salvation. It was originally planned for the previous year, and the COVID-19-induced delays made the theme all the more poignant.

This concert marked Guillaume Lemay-Yates' professional debut as conductor as our Acting Musical Director.

We were also honoured to give the world premiere of Why Fly So High by upcoming composer John Rotar — a busy weekend; his Symphony No. 1 was premiered by the Queensland Youth Symphony orchestra the following day.

The scintillating Christian Gante accompanied us on piano, and we were delighted to give the SATB premiere of his work Down To The Water

Recordings of the concert are coming soon!
