Semester Two 2017 - "The Marksman and the Requiem"
Our second major concert for 2017 was held at the end of semester two.
This was a two-part concert. In the first half, the Sinfonia of St Andrew's presented music from Carl Maria von Weber's opera Der Freischutz (The Marksman). In the second half, QUMS presented Luigi Cherubini's Requiem Mass in C minor, with the Sinfonia accompanying us.
This concert was conducted by Adrian Head, of the Sinfonia. QUMS' Musical Director, Elspeth Sutherland, was chorusmaster.
